Description
The CRM086 phase-stable semi-rigid coaxial cable is engineered for microwave and metrology-grade systems where phase and amplitude consistency are critical. Operating up to 40 GHz with a 50 Ω impedance, it delivers excellent thermal and mechanical stability with minimal phase variation under temperature fluctuation or mechanical stress. Explore the CRM Series – Phase-Stable Semi-Rigid Coaxial Cables for additional models and diameters.
The CRM086 cable features a 0.56 mm silver-plated copper inner conductor, PTFE dielectric, and a 2.18 mm seamless annealed copper tube outer conductor plated with a ternary alloy for corrosion resistance. This rigid structure limits phase deviation to within ±3° at 18 GHz and maintains >165 dB shielding effectiveness for low-noise and phase-critical measurements.
Attenuation values are as low as 0.32 dB/m @ 300 MHz and 3.89 dB/m @ 40 GHz, while average power handling reaches 0.47 kW @ 300 MHz. A velocity of propagation of 76% and a minimum bend radius of 7 mm ensure precise signal timing and repeatable phase performance across temperature cycles from –55 °C to +250 °C.
The CRM086 semi-rigid construction maintains dimensional accuracy for phase-matched assemblies and VNA test systems. Its copper tube outer conductor minimizes micromotion-induced errors and supports long-term stability in precision measurement environments.
